On 21st April, a dedicated bunch of club members headed for the wilds of Byfield for a weekend of fellowship, fun and music. A small hiccup had been sorted when some of our advertising to members went viral on the internet and threatened our fun. Apparently many tourist and travel websites as well as local media had picked up the “event” and made it look as iff we were planning something really humungous.
There were around 20 players for Saturday evening with 12 of those actually camping. The weather was perfect all weekend with fine weather that is not common in Byfield. Most everyone headed off for some “bracing” swim time in the beautiful creek several times each day. It really was exceptionally beautiful there.
The Saturday evening session was a lot of fun with some free Ukelele lessons thrown in for good effect. Hopefully we can do this again sometime in the future.
